My name is Sam Eubank and I was born and raised in South-Central Missouri on Bull Shoals Lake. I discovered my love for photography snapping photos of my pets and toys using my toy camera as a small child.
My interest in photography grew as Yearbook Editor for my high school’s annual publication. Playing around with the cameras in my yearbook class, I knew I wanted to further my relationship with photography post-high school.
We took our relationship to the next level when I entered college as a Freshman at the University of Central Missouri (UCM). After a month of classes, I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with photography… so I engaged myself in it.
Our relationship has definitely had its ups and downs. We’ve suffered through the hardships of intensive classes, the harsh and dusty atmosphere of Ghana in West Africa (along with the invasion of ants intruding the innards of my camera), and the theft of all my gear the first semester of my senior year. Though our engagement has been a rocky road, I’ve also had the pleasure of working with the UCM Theatre Department doing head shots and documenting the production of shows, working with the Unicorn Theatre in Kansas City, taking photos for the student owned and operated Hi-Res Magazine, documenting my experiences abroad in West Africa, and volunteering for Camp Magazine in Kansas City.
The marriage will be finalized in May of 2010 when I receive my B.S. in Photography from the University of Central Missouri.
