Indoor Outdoor: The Trees Knees and Reality TV

When I get bored, I go walking. Luckily, that’s really easy to do at my home base (The Bat Cave.) There’s a lake, a creek, hiking trails, and a couple trees………sorry………The TV is distracting me right now. Ellen is on. I never really watch it, but they are going crazy dancing right now. Hmm….she’s crazy. I love her. Anyway….distraction….aside. As I was saying, nature and such. I’m a little sad though, because a lot of my favorite trees have been cut down. I found a tire with grass growing over it, a spoon (in the middle of the woods burried in the dirt with the grasping devive sticking out….Doulble-u Tee Eff.), some empty cigarette cartons, trash bags, candy wrappers, shoe prints, and even a tiny little bag with a serenge in it. I don’t know what’s going on, but people are crazy all around. I think the landscape around here is beautiful. I can’t wait until nature puts her clothes back on and shows us her amazing green dress littered with gawdy jewels of red, white, yellow, and every color imaginable (Dogwoods hold a special place in my heart. We have quite a few in our yard.) It’s sad that if you look closely you can see human trash dotting the landscape. We’re cutting down trees and replacing them with landfills. I think it’s hot. I’m horny right now thinking about it…….hold on a minute…………………………………………………………

Editorial Assignement Number Three: Fashion Shoot…

I’m a little late turning this in, but I think it’s well worth it. I hooked up with a friend of mine from high school. We pulled out some of her old prom dresses and some prom dresses of friends, played around a bit with make-up, and kind of did some stuff with her hair (straightened it and added a little flip at the end…I know…pretty amazing.) I was fortunate enough to bring home some lights from school over our “Spring” break and got to exploit them. I think they worked out nicely, but I really just can’t beat that awesome light I get from the sun. Oh, how I love fornicating natural light…..anyway. I hope you enjoy the shots, and hopefully I can still get a decent grade from them.

Editorial Assignment Number Two (Entertainment)

Fat Pig:

I recently had the opportunity to photograph the production of Fat Pig by Neil LaBute here at UCM under the direction of Dr. Julie Pratt. I’ve worked with Dr. Pratt before photographing this past semester’s children show “Shadow Gets a Black Eye.” I always have a great time when snapping shots of her productions. The Theatre Department here is excellent and I enjoy working with everyone involved. The show was amazing, and if you didn’t get a chance to see it, you missed out.

Kid Games and Candy

I started this series last year in my studio class, and I think I’m going to continue with the concept for my next assignment in Editorial. This part of the series depicts depression, self-mutilation (cutting), alcoholism, and domestic violence.  verbal-knives-v.jpgwhen-the-medicine-cabinet-is-empty-ii.jpg
